Understanding Hepatobiliary Tumors
Primary Liver Cancer
Due to the insidious onset, less than 30% of liver cancer patients are suitable for radical treatment (surgical treatment) upon initial diagnosis. Systemic anti-tumor therapy plays an important role in the treatment of advanced liver cancer.
Biliary Tract Tumors
Half of the patients with biliary tumors are already in the advanced stage when diagnosed, and surgery is currently the only effective means of radical cure. For metastatic or unresectable biliary tumors, patients can benefit from targeted therapy. As of December 2022, several targeted drugs have been approved for use in biliary tumors.
