Question 1: Why do we need stool testing?
Intestinal cells are renewed every 3-4 days, and shed cells are excreted in the feces, while abnormal cells are more easily shed than normal cells. We can monitor the methylation level of the cell DNA contained in the feces.
Question 2: Are there any precautions before sampling?
  1. You do not need to avoid certain foods before defecation, but you can try to eat a simple diet.
  2. Women should avoid sampling during menstrual period
  3. Avoid sampling during the period of unformed stool (such as watery stool)
  4. Avoid sampling during gastrointestinal bleeding and avoid fresh blood samples
  5. General drugs will not affect this test. You only need to stop taking berberine one day before sampling, because excessive berberine will affect the test results.
